Refugee Support | Fatuma

After fleeing conflict in Somalia, Fatuma, a mother of seven, rebuilt her life in Uganda’s Nakivale refugee settlement. With a small plot of land and a loan from a neighbour, she runs a food stall selling tea, chapati, and beans. Each day she begins work before dawn and earns enough to keep food on the table and send three of her children to school. She has already repaid more than half of her loan and continues to grow her business.
