Leila, a farmer from rural Ghana and mother of three, struggled to produce enough food for her family before joining an Opportunity International-supported community farming group. With access to loans and training in agriculture and finances, she improved her farm’s productivity and was able to begin saving. Now, earning her own income, she can send her children to school, and has gained confidence and respect in her community.
Before Opportunity International, I would only get 2 or 3 bags at harvest, but when Opportunity came, I got 8 or 9 bags.
